Background

Prior to joining Cove Hill, Ethan was a summer analyst at Weiss Asset Management on the equity long/short and convertible bonds teams and interned at Cleveland Research Company where he covered retail/construction stocks. Ethan graduated from Princeton where he rowed for the lightweight rowing team, served as a portfolio manager for Tiger Investments, and mentored freshmen as a Residential College Advisor. His senior thesis, "Money Can Grow on Trees: Forecasting Demand for Ornamental Shrubs," examined how machine learning can be applied to increase farms' operational efficiency. Outside of work, Ethan enjoys cycling, fly fishing, surfing, and rooting for his hometown Cleveland Browns.

What is your favorite Cove and Hill to travel to? My favorite Cove is "The Hole" on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey where I took many much-needed rests during rowing practice and my favorite Hill is Mount Pisgah, a sand dune overlooking Lake Michigan in Holland, Michigan where I spent many summers with my family.
What is the best vacation you’ve ever taken? The best vacation I've ever taken was when my grandfather, brother, cousin, and I rode two tandem bicycles 600 miles along the Erie Canal and Hudson River from Niagara Falls to Battery Park, NYC.
What is your most embarrassing moment in the office? The most embarrassing moment I've ever had at work was when I walked face first into the glass door of my boss' office in front of my entire team.
