Background
Prior to joining Cove Hill, Jacob was a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in Toronto, where he worked within Bain’s Private Equity Practice advising investors across a broad range of sectors and transaction sizes. Jacob graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, where he studied business, financial mathematics, and film studies. While at Laurier, he served as President of the Laurier Consulting Group and played both volleyball and softball. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys beach volleyball, skiing, hiking, and portaging, and makes an annual effort to watch all Oscar-nominated films.
Get to Know Jacob
What is your favorite Cove and Hill to travel to? 
My favorite cove is the southwest corner of Balsam Lake in Ontario’s Kawarthas, where I spent many summer weekends with my closest friends. My favorite hill (or hills) is the Three Sisters range that surrounds Canmore in the Canadian Rockies.

What is the most interesting book you’ve read recently? 
I found Endurance by Alfred Lansing both fascinating and inspiring. The story of Ernest Shackleton’s 1914 attempt to cross the Antarctic is an incredible example of leadership, grit, and persistence.

What is your favorite board game or card game?
My favorite game is euchre – a card game with the perfect luck-to-skill ratio, making it competitive enough to stay engaged while still being a great way to spend time with good friends.
