Background

Jeff has spent the last 28 years partnering with executive teams, as both an operator and advisor, to help organizations and their people evolve, scale, and perform at their best. For 16 of those years, Jeff was a Partner at Bain Capital, where he co-led the firm’s portfolio operating group and occasionally served in hands-on leadership roles within portfolio companies. In this role, Jeff worked alongside management teams and investment professionals on value creation, with a focus on operating excellence, organizational health, and building durable growth.
Since leaving Bain Capital, Jeff has continued to build and operate businesses. He founded a consumer technology company and has acquired and scaled a mid-market business. He has also completed coursework at MIT focused on artificial intelligence, with the goal of better understanding how AI can be embedded into a practical playbook for driving transformation and long-term value creation.
Earlier in his career, Jeff was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised senior executives on strategy, operations, and large-scale change initiatives across a range of industries.

Get to Know Jeff

What do you do in your free time outside of work?
I love spending time with my family, traveling, and pretty much any outdoor activity, including snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking. I also have an unhealthy passion for golf.
What is your most embarrassing moment in the office?
While living in London, I once locked myself and my kids out of our flat without my wallet, phone, or keys while my wife was out of town. I ended up feeding my kids dinner from the office cafeteria (mostly candy) and putting my youngest daughter to bed under my desk.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My mother. She always put others first and she taught me that with creativity, resilience, and hard work, almost anything is possible.

Education

Jeff graduated from Davidson College with an B.A. in Economics in 1997 and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A. with honors in 2003.
