Background
Lara has spent the last 17 years of her career working across almost every segment of the private equity value chain.
Prior to co-founding Cove Hill Partners, Lara was a Director at Solamere Capital and Head of the Business Development & Strategy team. She was responsible for originating new investments and working with the founders on strategic initiatives including network development, investor relations and human resources.
Lara joined Solamere after working for several years at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm based out of NYC. At General Atlantic, she was responsible for their long-term oriented and family-centric investor base. She worked closely with the General Atlantic executive committee on strategic initiatives and was a thought leader in talent management improvements. Before GA, she began her career at Credit Suisse.
Lara lives in Boston with her husband, two daughters and cavapoo dog. She is the co-author of Breaking the Code published by Penguin Group. She also sits on the Boston Children's Hospital Philanthropic Board of Advisors. In her free time, she likes to run around outside, either solo (listening to oldies music), or on the playground with her kids.

What is your favorite thing to cook to impress guests?
My cooking tastes like poison but my baking isn’t half bad! My “go to” quick dessert is butterfinger chocolate chip banana bread using Silver Palate’s recipe.
What do you do in your free time outside of work?
Spend time with my daughters (and husband). When I’m not with daughters, I’m usually watching videos of them on my iPhone.
What was the last thing you binge-watched on Netflix?
